Save the dates: The MREA state conference will be held in Anaconda, September 29-30, 2025, at The Forge. The theme for this event is “Let’s Dig It for MREA!” focusing on the history and mining in Butte and Anaconda.
The Room cost is $160.92 and that includes tax. Breakfast is included with the room. Meals include two lunches and one dinner. One lunch will be paid for by MREA.
The convention begins with lunch on Monday, Sept. 29 at noon and ends with lunch on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
MREA pays $75 for each delegate. Delegates are selected by size of unit as follows:
The unit president is considered a delegate regardless of size and included in the total number of unit delegates. The following are the number of delegates per unit:
- Anaconda – 2
- Big Sky – 3
- Lewis and Clark – 2
- North Central – 5
- Northwest – 2
- Butte/Silver Bow -3
- Southeast – 3
- Southwest – 3
- Western – 4
- Yellowstone Valley – 2
Each Unit is asked to bring the following to the state conference:
- 3-fold board display about your unit activates since the last state convention
- At least one basket for auction to fund the Walters Award
- 1-3 door prizes to raffle

Unit Volunteer of the Year nomination sent to unit president, MREA Unit Volunteer Hours, tabulate unit donated hours from each member between July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, present unit president the total and the president sends them to the state Volunteer Program Coordinator.
Walters' Award, Given biennially, units informed of the award requirements in the spring of 2025 and each unit is expected to bring a Nomee to the Biennial convention.
